Shriners Children's Open Qualifying

The Shriners Children's Open will have 2 separate Pre-Qualifiers played at Boulder Creek Golf Club on Wednesday, October 4, 2023 and Thursday, October 5, 2023. Each qualifier will be 18-hole stroke play. Top finishers will advance to the Shriners Children's Open Monday Qualifier on Monday, October 9, 2023 at Spanish Trail Country Club.

The Section Governance webinar is a great way for you, as a Southwest Section Member or Associate, to gain a "behind the scenes" understanding of the activities which support our membership.  Executive Director, Bernie Eaton, PGA, will be covering a wide range of topics.

New Event - Southwest PGA Women's Section Championship

Two rounds of 18-hole, stroke play competition will be held on Talking Stick Golf Club's Pipaash Course (formerly the South Course), November 28-29The field will be repaired based on scores after the first round.

Participants will play from approximately 6,000 yards.

Who We Are

The PGA of America is the world's largest sports organization, comprised of 28,000 men and women golf Professionals who are the recognized experts in teaching and growing the game. Founded in 1916, the PGA of America has enhanced its leadership position by conducting premier spectator events – PGA Championship, Ryder Cup, Senior PGA Championship presented by KitchenAid and PGA Grand Slam of Golf – as well as significant philanthropic outreach initiatives, and award-winning golf promotions.

The Southwest PGA is one of forty-one sections of the Professional Golfers' Association of America. Its boundaries include the state of Arizona and Clark County in Southern Nevada. There are two chapters within the Southwest PGA - the Southern Chapter and Southern Nevada Chapter. Each chapter aims to further facilitate programs and support their members specific needs in those areas.
