EVENT:
The Arizona Open Championship is a 54-hole, state open golf tournament open to both professional and amateur golfers nationwide. The final Championship field will be 156 players, made up of place-winners from the Arizona Open Championship qualifying events and those players exempt from qualifying.The Arizona Open Championship is administered by the Southwest PGA and has roots dating back to the inaugural event held in 1937. This historical championship has been held annually since 1953 and boasts an impressive list of past champions including Johnny Bulla, Dale Douglas and Curt Byrum.

DISTANCE-MEASURING DEVICES:
Distance-Measuring devices are permitted in the Arizona Open.

WALKING POLICY:
Players may not carry their own bag. Penalty - Disqualification. A motorized passenger cart or caddie shall be required for all competitors. Competitors may bring their own caddies.

PRACTICE ROUNDS:
Please contact the host facility to schedule a practice round.

STARTING TIMES & GROUPINGS:
Contestants shall be responsible for their starting times and groupings. All starting times and groupings will be listed online as well as emailed to all players once they are finalized. Starting times will also be available by calling the host facility.

DRESS CODE:
Competitors may wear slacks or appropriate golf shorts in this championship. Cargo shorts are not considered appropriate golf shorts.

CONDUCT:
While on host facility property during qualifying rounds; players and caddies shall conduct themselves in a professional manner. All players MUST abide by the Southwest PGA Tournament Rules & Regulations listed on the Southwest PGA website. The Southwest PGA reserves the right to remove a player from the competition for; non competitiveness; conduct unbecoming a professional by the player and conduct unbecoming a professional by the players’ caddie.
